The Organization was founded on 2011 as an attempt to create an organization that would represent the one voice of Sikhs. Their goal is: “To work for the promotion & ideas of universal brotherhood, peace, justice, freedom of worship and speech, respect for cultural diversity and human dignity, without distinctions SWA Group is a group of volunteers and activists with a mutual interest in the protection and promotion of human rights, the peaceful resolution of conflicts and reform of the agencies of the National Human right commission to reflect the needs of the people rather than the states. This organization was formally established in 2011 in response to the worsening human rights situation in Mumbai Maharashtra state of India. The group has since increased its sphere of work to include minority rights, Transnational’s, internal conflicts and sustainable development as well as human rights cases from other regions. We work takes the form of human rights activism, academic reports, organization and participation in relevant conferences. This Foundation was founded in 2011 to promote the heritage and future of Sikhism. It is a non-profit and non-political charitable organization that works to: Pass on the Sikh person to the growth, particularly the youth Introduce the world to the ethics, literature and heroism of the Sikhs Contribute Sikh perspectives to issues of common human concern Advance Sikh culture by advancing the tradition of critical and creative thinking that gave birth to the faith Generate the highest quality resources for the study of Sikhism This organization is a service organization of concerned Sikhs who seek the welfare of their community and are prepared to work for it in a low profile manner. It was formed in 2011 by several Sikhs and has gradually expanding and now has members from other states. All members pay due’s; these are budgeted to support various projects and to entertain new ideas or ventures. The Association is legally incorporated.
